OK Ladies. This month we are making a Criss Cross card. This was new to me so you will be seeing my very first Criss Cross card as I figure this out. Ready?! You are going to need a sheet of card stock and scraps of coordinating card stock and double sided designer paper or 2 one sided designer papers.
To start you need 2 pieces of card stock 4 1/4 x 11" scored at 5 1/2".
Take one of the pieces and cut it diagonally from the center top to the bottom left.
Take the other and cut diagonally from the center top to the bottom right.
Here is what you will end up with.
Add adhesive to the back of one of the rectangles.
Lay one on top of the other forming your card base.
Next you will need a 4" x 5" piece of double sided designer paper. Cut this in half diagonally. Adhere one to one side and the other using the back side to the other triangular section.
On the inside of the card place adhesive across the bottom of the center and the left side flap adding 2" of adhesive on the top of the flap. See picture for placement if I made no sense.
Fold the right flap in attaching to the adhesive. Then fold in the left flap attaching it on top.
Your card base should look like this.
Now we will make the inside of the card which is going to be a pull out. You will need a 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" piece of white card stock and a 3 3/4 " x 5 1/4" piece of coordinating card stock. Round the top corners on both pieces and then attach them.
Add something to a corner or the center for pulling your card out. Decorate the white layer as you want.
Here is the finished card with your pulled out section inside the card. Wrap a 12" piece of card stock or a 12" piece of 1" ribbon around the center forming a band. Decorate any way you want. Could be a bow, a sentiment or an image. Your choice. Have fun ladies.
