Decembers Challenge is to make anything but a Christmas Card. Of course as always the theme is Christmas. I decided to make a candle. This is very easy to do. Stamp your image on white tissue paper and color in with markers on the back side. Hold onto the candle and using your heat tool very carefully melt the design into your candle. Go on over to Sparkles Christmas Challenge and add your project.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone.

Today I'm playing off with a new challenge to me.
I used Stencil, Blue & Green,Texture.
I used the dot stencil and paste for the texture. First time I've used paste with a plastic stencil.
Then sponged with Blue & Green ink. The paste resists the ink.
Added 2 Sea horses and sequins bubbles.
I can hardly wait for the next challenge. Tic Tac Toe gives you so many ways to create a card.

Fall is starting and I love making fall paper and coloring leaves. We really don't get fall leaves here in Florida. There are a few trees that change leaf color in January and February but its few.
I've made both papers with sponged ink and stamping images of leaves.
My embellishments are 2 small punched leaves.

The kids are going back to school all over the world so today's challenge is Back To School.
Go on over and your card.
I've stamped the desks on water color paper and then water colored with Distressed Inks. It's very faint in the photo but the Welcome back on the chalk board was stamped on black card stock with the newest Distress Ink Picket Fence.

Today is my first challenge with the Make My Monday Design Team. The theme is an inspiration photo which can be seen HERE. I've seen this layout a lot lately on Pinterest so gave it a try. My card has a sponged with distressed ink panel that is stamped on the card base. There are 2 raised layered panels on each side of it and my image is water colored with Distressed Inks and the sand glittered. Go on over and be INSPIRED!!

I'm joining the Design Team at Sparkles Christmas Challenge. It is a monthly Christmas Card with a theme challenge. What a fun way to get started on those Holiday Cards. This month there is a Surprise prize package donated by Marianne Design if you are chosen as the winner. Just make a Shaped Christmas Card and go on over and join in the fun.
Here is my card. I've made a round card using dies. I just purchased this snowman stamp the other day at Hobby Lobby. I think I would ink it a dark blue color rather than the black the next time I use it. I've outlined it and added some sparkle with a glitter pen. That doesn't show well in the photo. Behind the snowman I used a snowflake background stamp.

Headed out this morning for Hontoon Island State Park. Rode the ferry over and began our walk. A little to warm for that today really but we made it to the end of the 3 mile trail and back to the ferry in one sweaty piece. We were looking for the Indian Mound. Not what we were expecting as we have seen mounds before but we got there and saw another Florida State Park. Lived here in Florida for 11 Years and haven't explored the parks so I'd say it's about time. So much beauty to see.

This year my daughter's theme for her Kindergarten Classroom is Wild animals. I've been busy creating animals for her mascots. Here's what I've put together so far. The kids are going to love them.
Her behavior chart is going to be a monkey with bananas. So my chimp is going to fit right in.

This was an easy challenge for me this week. Make your own background. No problem. I've got a million of them. This card uses 3 of them. The back layer was made using a gelli plate and then stamped over with a script stamp. Then behind the oval is a piece using Webbing spray. And the oval is a Distressed ink splattered with water technique.

Today at Ruby's Rainbow we're making anything but a card. I have a kleenex box cover I made awhile ago. It has held up well for being made with card stock. This makes a quick gift and you can make covers for each holiday and switch them out easily.

I've taken up my knitting needles and crochet hooks again and am loving it.
Slippers my oldest Granddaughter ordered.
In the coming days I plan on doing some of this.
