Back from vacation

Well I had fun!!! But now back to normal until the next time I can get away. We had a great time.
We visited Daniel Boone cave park in Lexington, NC. This is a cave he was to have stayed.

We visited the grave of Daniels parents.

We saw the worlds largest Duncan Phyfe Chair.

Saw the worlds Largest Chest of Drawers. I can't reach my socks.

We cooked a turkey over a campfire. It turned out really good.
That's my grandson Anakin.

I watched my children play Pokemon Go. If you haven't seen this game you really will be amazed at where all these creatures are. I have to admit it was fun looking for them.
 my sons

my daughter and her boyfriend

We also met up with Santa. Christmas in July celebration.

Here's the whole gang.

I'm missing a daughter and her husband, 2 Grand daughters and 3 Great Grand daughters. Her family was not able to meet up with us this time.

An adventurous day

Headed out this morning for Hontoon Island State Park. Rode the ferry over and began our walk. A little to warm for that today really but we made it to the end of the 3 mile trail and back to the ferry in one sweaty piece. We were looking for the Indian Mound. Not what we were expecting as we have seen mounds before but we got there and saw another Florida State Park. Lived here in Florida for 11 Years and haven't explored the parks so I'd say it's about time. So much beauty to see.

Wild Animals for 2016-2017

This year my daughter's theme for her Kindergarten Classroom is Wild animals.  I've been busy creating animals for her mascots. Here's what I've put together so far. The kids are going to love them.

Her behavior chart is going to be a monkey with bananas. So my chimp is going to fit right in.

Ruby's Rainbow Challenge 133

This was an easy challenge for me this week. Make your own background. No problem. I've got a million of them. This card uses 3 of them. The back layer was made using a gelli plate and then stamped over with a script stamp. Then behind the oval is a piece using Webbing spray. And the oval is a Distressed ink splattered with water technique.
