Tutorial Time at Speedy TV

Go on over to Speedy TV and Hilight Tutorial time. Click on #18. You're going to learn all about Distressing. This is not my thing ladies. I have to admit this. You won't see me ripping my papers or half destroying my image I just took so much time coloring. LOL. But I gave it a go. What you see is actually the back side of my first attempt. Just didn't like it. I was spritzing and swiping and stamping and yuck!! So I turned it over and stamped the image and liked it a lot better. I sponged Distressed inks both Old Paper and Linen on the piece. The background is a Faux Patina technique. A little Distressed Stickles was also used here and there. Wrinkled paper is perfect for this old map image from MFP a HC. Go on over and join in to have a chance to win a great stamp set.

Yo ho ho & a bottle of Rum! The Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow fan I am thinks you'll not be walking the plank with this wonderful treaure map & parrot card. I did not think much or care for distressing until I took a class with Tim Holtz. Check out the card I posted today that in which I distressed the edges with a Tim Holtz Paper Distresser.

Great card. The Patina look in the background really sets off the card.
