SSSD July Different Kind of Card/Onesie

Last month SSSD ladies we made shirts perfect for dads or little boys. This month we're making onesies. They make a cute card for babies. Decorated they could be for boy or girl. Once you get going you will be able to make these as fast as you can make the shirts. We're going to start with a 4 1/2 x 11 piece of card stock scored at 5 1/2 making a top fold card.

Next take a circle punch and punch a half circle at the fold line This is the neck. I used a SU 1 3/8 " punch.

Take the same punch and using 3/4 of the circle, punch out both bottom corners.

Here is what it will look like.

Trim each leg hole on the sides.

Measure down 1 3/4" from the fold on each side and cut in 1/2". This forms the sleeves.

Using a ruler draw a line from the bottom corner to the end of your 1/2" cut. Trim this away. Can you see it forming!!!

Using the circle punch again punch a circle in a patterned paper you will use for trim.

Take a scalloped punch. I used the SU scalloped punch. It's about 1 3/4 inches across. Position it so the circle you punched out is centered. You will need to do this twice.

This is what you will have.

Glue half of a scalloped circle to each leg opening and to the neck opening trimming off excess.

On your bottom flap score 1/4" from the edge and add your buttons or brads.

Decorate the front of your card anyway you want.
