Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge 140

This weeks challenge is to use Tissue Paper. I did the Faux Silk technique. Stamp your image on the tissue paper.. Color it in.. Wrinkle up the tissue.. Take a glue stick and apply glue all over your card stock you will be putting the stamped tissue paper on.. Lay the tissue paper on the card stock smoothing it out but keep some wrinkles.. Wrap the excess around to the back and tape in place.. Finish your card.
Go on over and add your card using Tissue Paper any way you want. You may win a cool stamp set.

I've made this card for a January swap I'm in where you have certain pieces and you have to build a sketch with them. That triangle gave me fits but I had to make it work.

When I saw this stamp set I thought to myself how do I make a card with this. It looks more like Recipe card images. So I had to leave my comfort zone and make a project and until I wrote this post I hadn't looked at the name of the stamp set. LOL It's called Recipe Card starters. Oh the anxiety I would have done without if I had only looked at the name. So what did I make...well a Recipe card book of course. I went up to the store to get 3x5 cards and found this book of 3x5 cards. I thought perfect I could make a nice gift to hand down to my daughter. I have lots of work ahead of me to fill this up but I will get it done.

I used tiny stamps in the center of the cups from another set which I was going to get the name for you but I find it has been discontinued. So I apologize for that. I used the background stamp on the panel behind the cup stack.

 Here's my card:

I used a new Technique Junkie Technique called Reversed Clear Stamping to make my Ivy Frame.  I used the same technique on the flowers but then cut most of it off but there is some shadow left that doesn't show up in the photo. I then used 3 of the sentiments on the front of my card. OK be sure to take part in the Hop. You could win one of the new stamps sets.

I looked all over for a gift card holder design I could make. This set just screamed shopping to me. I'm a card person so I had to do a little different thinking making this. But we should all make a few projects now and then no matter how many aspirins it takes. I don't know why something like this throws me off but it does. I think it turned out pretty good. This is a great girlie set.

This weeks theme is "Snow".  Something I am so glad I don't have to deal with anymore. Pretty in pictures but not in my yard. I stamped snowflakes in several shades of distressed ink blues and in glue to add glitter to a couple.

Making tags for the Christmas Baked goods

MFP a HC has a new set coming out I think will be helpful in making tags for Holiday Baking gifts. I used a Poinsettia form another set to add to my Christmas package. A pretty way to decorate that box of cookies or fudge don't you think.

A December sneak peak

Todays challenge is to make a "red & green"card. I tried a Technique Junkie technique to make my patchwork frames. I used 2 of the frames popping one up on top of the other. I used blue & purple and since I haven't glittered much lately I decided to glam it up. I now remember why I don't use eyelets and I have totally forgotten how to put them in with the Crop O Dile as you can see by the smooshed eyelet holes.  So they are all going back into hiding and I am going to forget about them again. It's a good thing.

This week we are using a Recipe. Here it is: Have 1 Layer, Use 2 colors and 3 Embellishments. My card is 1 layer masking off my design area.  I used Green and White for my 2 colors and the 3 Bling. Be sure to post your card to have a chance to win a stamp set.

I couldn't decide how to color this ornament.  Ended up using pencil and lots of glitter and then cutting it out. Added it to a background I made last Christmas. One more Christmas card done.

Going to the Big City

I used all the words of the set to make a collage background. Wasn't happy with the black buildings so I added color to them. Cute set just right for that some one who is headed off to the City for a new job or that dream of making it Big.
