The background on this one uses Opalite Ink Pads. They are made to stamp on dark card stock. The peacock is embossed with black and colored with pencils. Metallic gold ink on the edges.

Another visitor this evening
I came home to find this on the other side of the fence. He's always been way out back but this is the first time he has come up by the house. I bet he was looking for a chicken dinner or possibly a little beef or wiener dog sandwich. Hope he goes back to his pond.
Sneak Peak Birds and Trees
Aren't these little birdies cute. I bought this charm months ago on a shopping trip. It matches perfectly.
Tutorial Time on Speedy TV Challenge 44
This was a fun technique. Next week during the blog hop you will see a card I made using the 8 x 8" square directions for this card. Today I tried a 6 x 6 " square. Go on over to Speedy TV click on Tutorial Time and then on Challenge 44 for the directions. Try out the directions and add your card for a chance to win a great stamp set.

Why I live in Florida
We've had a couple of good birding evenings lately. Last night an adult Eagle and a young Eagle were eating fish out of our pond and tonight the Stork paid a visit. My husband is wondering who had the baby delivery.
Stamping with water
I have seen this at a couple of blogs lately and wanted to give it a try. Don't know if you can see it very well but I stamped the background with a peacock feather stamp. The water stamping makes a ghostly like image on the Distress Inks. My birds feathers didn't photo well either but they are all done with metallic pencils and glitter pens. I will be in search of some sort of peacock embellishment for the corner.....maybe a tiny peacock feather bling.. Wonder if there is one out there. I'll be looking.
Sneak Peak Be a Show Off
My background is made with a stencil that I sponged over. The peacock is colored with H2O's. I haven't used them in years. This months stamp sets has had me using a lot of my neglected supplies. Keep watch. It's been fun to do something different.

Sneak Peak Zoo Friends
I used the Inkadinkado Stamping Gear to make the background with a Kaleidacolor ink pad. My first play with the stamping gear. It's not really made for card makers. But I did get this small design to fit on my A2 size card. I've use 2 sentiments from the OH Baby set to go along with this cute giraffe.

Sneal Peak Columns & Topiaries
I was playing around with the resist technique. This one is white pencil through a stencil and then sponged with color. I had something else in mind but this is what I ended up with. Love this Topiary.

April Showers / Friday Mashup 104
The Friday Mash up this week is to make a card with an umbrella on it. I started out embossing my umbrella and boots. Then colored them in. Pressed them onto a Versa Mark pad and clear embossed. The background is a puzzle like technique using an embossing folder.

Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge 154
We're doing something different for this weeks challenge. We're making bookmarks or a card with an attached bookmark. I have been seeing Vellum and white embossing lately and you know I have a stack of vellum and never pull it out. So I have used it for the top layer of my bookmark..
Go on over and add your Bookmark for a chance to win a great stamp set.

SSSD April Technique
This one has lots of directions you can go with all the different embossing folders available. Here is what you need to get started. Embossing folders, card stock and whatever machine you use for this.
Take the first embossing folder and your card stock. Just stick in about 2 1/4 " of the card stock in your folder. We will be creating a center blank area for a sentiment. After you get going this could be higher or lower or even wider. It will be up to you.
For my card I decided to sponge some ink on the top design and I added 2 embossed butterflies.

Here are my two designs with the center blank area.
Turn it over to the back side and score along the line of your embossed designs.
Here is what you will have when you turn it back over to the front.
