Well today is the day I usually start to address my Christmas cards. Today however we're going to Tampa to visit my husbands brother and his family who have a timeshare there. But when I get home this evening I will get started and mail off a few tomorrow morning. Here is a couple of the cards I will be sending.
I love folds. This was an easy one and it makes a cute Christmas tree.

What did you do with your Christmas Party napkin??
My "Stamping in Florida" Yahoo Group had our Christmas party last Saturday. I don't think any of these napkins were used for the usual purpose. They were snatched up and put away for some later crafting projects. Here's mine. He made such a cute card!! Added lots of Stickles, a couple of glittered snowflakes and some Glossy Accents to his carrot nose. Adorable.
I'm also getting ready to teach some background techniques using the CuttleBug embossing folders at the Stamping Studio. This was an extra background I made and a medallion made using my SU punches.
Happy Thanksgiving and a tutorial
Hope everyone had a wonderful day full of good food and family. I spent all morning playing here at my desk as I wasn't the one making the turkey. I've been working on making gift card holders. Have tried several different versions I have seen on the internet. Here's what I've come up with. It's simple and quick. Cut your main card stock 4 1/4 x 11. Score at 3, 5 1/2 and 8.
Now fold it in half and then fold the 2 outer panels towards your fold. It should look like this.
Next I ran it through the Cuttlebug. Just the front panel. Now you could decorate the front with pretty paper or a background you've made. That's totally up to you.
Now add red line tape to the center portion as pictured and seal shut.
Take your gift card and trace around a 1/4" from the edge.
Cut this out and you have the opening for your card.
Now you could decorate the inside of the card also if you like. Now to finish the outside. Apply adhesive to the center of a 12" piece of ribbon and attach to the card.
Now tie the ribbon in a bow and decorate your front.
Hope this is helpful for anyone giving a gift card for Christmas.

Make it Take it cards
Last Friday I ran a Make it Take it at the Stamping Studio in Spring Hill. Here are a few of the cards. My Cuttlebug really helped out.
I love this wreath. It is a 2 part set. First you cut out the wreath and then you emboss it.
This card was part of a 4 card set. We took a 6x6 piece of double sided paper and cut it up to get our pieces.
This has to be one of my favorite folders. Makes a lovely card.
This next card was a mistake which turned into something. I have one of those small red brayers. Just can't make it work right. Added a little gold, stamped my image in black and colored it in. It has a real sparkle to it.

Put those Fall stamps away
It's time to celebrate the snowman. I love snowmen. This stamp I bought a couple of weeks ago. Could not resist it. Aren't they a cute couple?.LOL The snowflakes are a Fiskars punch. I pushed them into my Essentials Glue pad and covered with glitter..
This last card was one from a 12 card Make it Take it I ran last Friday. Isn't that a cool border punch. I got it at Michaels. It's a martha Stewart. Embosses and cuts. I really liked how this card turned out. Everything is accented with Silver Brilliance.

I'm still here
Well it's been awhile since I have written anything. It's just been a few rough weeks here. Computer died and was without it for over a week. Worked at cleaning my mom and dads house for them before they got here. They were pleased and it's nice to have some family here for a little while. Took us a few tries to get the house in our names but that is done. Robin is looking forward to Turkey dinner. We don't cook a lot beause it is just the 3 of us. My classes have been off and then back on again. So have those all ready to go now. My Christmas card orders are finished and delivered. This card is one of them. The snowman stamp is from Close to My Heart. Got snow? is from Sparkle and Sprinkle. Cuttlebug piece real easy. Just rubbed a little white chalk ink from the pad across it. Today when I got home from work found my goats had been mauled by the neighbors dogs. So this was like the last straw. Called the Sheriff. Husband came home and the vet is just arriving now. We're probably going to have to put one down. Have some pictures to take to give to the sheriff tomorrow. Not sure what happened at the neighbors but another car was called. Hope they took all the dogs. We've had enough. So I'm off to the barn to see what is happening but I wanted you to know I hadn't fallen off the earth. Hope to get a few cards and tutorials up next week. Until then, enjoy.
