MFP Stamps Challenge 18

This is the fifth Saturday so it's Anything Goes Week. I saw a card on Pinterest that used a stamp similar to this one I used.  I really like it. The stamp was embossed with white EP and the color sponged.

 This one I used both Coffee ring stamps in black for the background and added trimmings from the above card to the front.

Stamps - MFP Stamp Shop - Lots of Words, Dragonfly Mini, Huge Blooms

This is a technique I have seen many times but it never caught my eye.  It’s called Retiform. I just didn’t care for it. Then I saw a video and loved how it was done. This is a great way to make an awesome background. You need a piece of white card stock cut to size and a scrap piece of card stock. I’m also using Distressed inks. 

We’re going to make 2 areas of color. No right or wrong here. Lay your scrap down and sponge ink on your white card stock along the scrap. 

Turn it and do the other side

Now pick another spot on the card stock and repeat the sponging along the scrap.

Turn it and do the other side.

This is what you will end up with. 

Next  sponge with a lighter color all over filling in everything.

Now  take post it notes and mask off one section.

Using a dark color stamp an image. 

Continue masking off the sections and stamping your images. 

Doesn't this look great.

Ruby's Rainbow Challenge 128

The challenge at Ruby's Rainbow is to make a Rain Themed Card. You do know April Showers bring May Flowers. As a kid playing in the puddles was big time fun.

My images are colored with pencil.  The background is made with 2 of the stamps found in the set.

Here's a color that I just don't use very often but it this weeks challenge PURPLE. I have stamped and embossed the background with a purple EP. Then added one pansy that I colored with pencil. MY gems are really more purple than they appear in the photo.

Ruby's Rainbow Challenge 127

This weeks challenge is Use Your Favorite Color. I don't really have a favorite color so decided to go with Blue.

I used several shades of blue and stamps to create the background.  Then add my water pump with a small amount of other colors.
